Opposites

We have been studying the book of Jude which was written as an open letter to churches, in order to encourage us to fight for the faith.

The reason for this call to arms is that false teachers had infiltrated the church; they had wormed their way into congregations and were deceiving and confusing people with false doctrines. So, Jude said, “We have to be on guard and fight for the faith that we have received, and not let it be polluted by these false teachers.”

In this session, we will be looking at Verses 12-13 to find out how the false teachers in Jude’s day were disrupting the unity of the church. Unity is so important in a church. We can’t accomplish our mission without it; we can’t give our community a clear picture of what God’s family is like without it; we can’t please the Lord without it!
