Dangerous Doomed Dreamers

We have been studying the book of Jude and have come to Verse 8. Jude wrote this as an open letter to churches, in order to encourage us to fight for the faith. The reason for this call to arms is that false teachers had infiltrated the church; they had wormed their way into congregations and were deceiving and confusing people with false doctrines. So Jude said, “We have to be on guard and fight for the faith that we have received, and not let it be polluted by these false teachers.”

Modern-day apostates (those who have turned away from the faith and try to lead others away, too) come into churches. They look the part and talk the talk, but they are up to no good. They have repudiated the fundamental doctrines of the Gospel. They rebel against the truth.

Jude says we need to be alert, discerning, and expose these spiritual terrorists before they can do damage. Find Jude 8-12 in your Bible.
