A Great Cloud of Witnesses

In this session, we find 5 verses that will apply the entire chapter of Hebrews 11 to our lives. Let's look at Hebrews 11:39-12:1.

That "something better" God has for us is the New Covenant. The Old Testament saints (like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) believed in the One True God. They acted on their faith – so they were saved on credit, so to speak. When Jesus came He paid the debt in full with His blood on the cross.

Those of us who live after Jesus came have a better deal – we don’t look forward to the first coming of the Savior someday, but we look back on the settled fact that He came, He died, and He rose.
