Zacharias & Elizabeth: Let's Grow old Together

Zacharias & Elizabeth are an incredible example of what it means to have a long-lasting marriage. Theirs is the type of marriage every couple wants.

Whenever a bride and groom stand before a pastor, they are always asked the most important question: “Do you…?” No couple answers that question by saying, “I do, for a while. But...I don’t want this marriage to go the distance. I hope it doesn’t last long.”

Instead, the thought is always, “I do as long as I live! I want to grow old with this person. However long God gives us, as long as we have breath, I do!”

In this session, we are going to learn about a couple whose marriage is woven into the story of the Gospel. Of course, their story is here to point us to Jesus. Luke Chapter 1 has only one star, one hero, one focus, and that is the coming of Jesus into the world to save us. But we can find in the story of Zacharias and Elizabeth four decisions we should make for a long-lasting marriage.
