The Ascension of Jesus

Thursday of this week is celebrated by some Christian groups as Ascension Day – 40 days after Easter Sunday. In some countries, they hold parades where they hike up to the top of a hill. Others have a meal of duck or other birds to symbolize Jesus “flying” to heaven. In parts of Italy, for some reason people catch and release crickets on Ascension Day.
