Your Journey
The Bible teaches us to think about our lives in terms of a journey. To be a Christian is to follow Jesus; He is leading us somewhere. You are headed toward a destination. The New Testament calls us to walk by faith, walk in the Spirit, walk in the light, walk in love, walk in wisdom – that’s a lot of walking! We are on a journey.
God used King David to pen the 37th Psalm as an old man who had been on the journey for a long time. As we read this he is looking back and encouraging others on their journeys. All through this psalm he draws a distinction between the righteous person and the wicked person. They are on different journeys, going in different directions, with different destinations.
In this session, we are honoring our graduates who are at an important place on their journey. Each of them have reached an important milestone and are ready to start a new adventure into the future. As David says, be on the side of the righteous.
