REVIVAL: for me, for us, for them
A Personal Message from Sr. Pastor Dan Spencer
I want to inform you, invite you, and urge you to attend a special series of meetings on January 28-31. We call it “Revival” because of what we are seeking during that time: a new beginning of obedience to Jesus that results in a spiritual renewal, a fresh infusion of spiritual power, and a new church-wide excitement for the things of God.
I want every member of First Baptist Church to make a commitment to attend Revival. That may mean canceling other events, rearranging schedules, or making some difficult choices — but I am convinced it will be worth it. Here are 3 things to remember as you make your commitment:
OUR GUEST PREACHER
Evangelist Malcom Ellis from Colmesneil, Texas will be our guest speaker. I have seen God use him before in settings like ours. I feel that God has led me to ask him to be with us, and I know you will enjoy hearing him. Malcom is not a comedian or an entertainer — he is a powerful preacher who knows how to discern what we need to hear in order to be moved to repentance and renewed love for Jesus and His church.
OUR REVIVAL SCHEDULE
Sunday, January 28 - 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00 am and 6:30 pm
Monday, January 29 - 6:30 pm
Tuesday, January 30 - 6:30 pm
Wednesday, January 31 - 6:30 pm
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
For me — I need Revival. Personally. You probably do, too.
For us — We need Revival as a church family.
For them — for the sake of the lost in our community we need to come together in a Revival of unity under Jesus and in obedience to Jesus.
