Scott Carter headshotScott has served as the Associate Pastor of Students at FBC since May of 1996. Scott attended Carson Newman College. During his time at FBC, he has seen substantial growth in the Youth Department. Scott also has a deep desire for missions. He has led several youth mission trips across the U.S. and internationally to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 

Scott is the founder of “Hearts on Fire,” a youth conference that first began in 1987. Churches from all over the Eastern United States have attended this conference with thousands attending each year. Thousands have also accepted Christ as a result of this ministry. Scott has a passion to see lost teenagers come to know Christ and develop a dynamic life in Him. Scott is single, has two adopted sons, and a grandson, Miles, who has stolen his heart.
